3.2 Payment Red Flags

  • Request for payment before viewing
  • Request for payment via wire transfer, gift cards, or cryptocurrency
  • Request for personal financial information
  • Urgent payment requests with limited time
  • Requests to send money to a different person than the listed landlord

3.3 Communication Red Flags

  • Poor grammar and spelling (may indicate scam)
  • Refusal to meet in person
  • Claims of being out of the country
  • Inability to answer specific questions about the property
  • Requests to send personal documents via email

4. Actions We Take

Upon detecting fraud, we may:

  • Immediately suspend or remove fraudulent listings
  • Suspend or terminate fraudulent accounts
  • Block payment transactions

When fraud is reported or detected:

  2. We gather evidence and review account activity
  3. We may contact involved parties for additional information
  4. We make a determination and take appropriate action

6. Reporting Fraud

  4. Contact Authorities: If you've been defrauded, report to local police
  5. Contact Your Bank: If you've made a payment, contact your bank immediately

7. Consequences of Fraud

Users who engage in fraud may face:

  • Immediate account termination
  • Permanent ban from the platform
  • Removal of all listings
  • Legal action (where applicable)
  • Reporting to law enforcement
  • Blacklisting of associated email addresses, phone numbers, and IP addresses
